Dr. Christine Rizk is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist with the Breast and Gynecologic Care Center at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. She has a special clinical interest in breast cancer prevention, and her expertise includes: Nipple-sparing mastectomy Lumpectomy Breast biopsy Axillary node biopsy and dissection Surgery for high-risk patients Cosmetic breast surgery Sentinel node biopsy Hidden scar breast surgery Dr. Rizk believes in holistic and compassionate care. Dr. Rizk’s Training Dr. Rizk earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at the University of Rochester in New York, where she graduated magna cum laude. She received her medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) in Syracuse. Dr. Rizk completed a general surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic, where she received the Bruce Hubbard Stuart Humanitarian Award, and a surgical breast oncology fellowship at Brown University Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. About Dr. Rizk Dr. Rizk is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Her professional memberships include the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Breast Disease. She has delivered presentations nationally, and her work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Rizk also is a New Apple Book Award Medal Winner for her contribution to Surviving Cancer: Our Voices & Choices. In 2015, Dr. Rizk was honored with the Super Doctors Rising Star award by The New York Times. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and running marathons. Dr. Rizk is fluent in English and Arabic.

He co-authored a chapter in Shields textbook of General Thoracic Surgery and has made presentations at numerous meetings and conferences. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, General Thoracic Surgery Club, and International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group.Dr. Escalon is fluent in English and Spanish.
