He completed post-doctoral radiobiology research studying blood tests that can help detect and monitor for cancer. Dr. Deig also completed a transitional medicine internship at Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver before his formal training in radiation oncology at Oregon Health & Science University. During this time, he gained extensive experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques including brachytherapy, radiosurgery and integration of new technologies, including artificial intelligence.Dr. Deig has published over 20 peer-reviewed research articles covering topics including head and neck, pancreatic, liver and lung cancers. He has also designed a randomized controlled trial for liver cancer in training and is motivated to integrate the newest data and radiotherapy techniques into his daily practice.In his free time, Dr. Deig loves camping, hiking, photography, running, and spending time outdoors with his wife and children.
