Overview
I chose to pursue a career in medicine a few years after college, which is a bit later than most other physicians. I studied history in college, and afterwards, unsure of what I intended to do, held a variety of jobs, including one as a marketing writer and another as a cook. I eventually decided that I wanted to do something that was both challenging and worthwhile, and after spending a few months volunteering in an emergency department, made the decision to apply to medical school. Medicine has certainly been challenging, but it's also just as rewarding as I hoped. And here in Gettysburg, it's been a pleasure as well -- I really enjoy treating the patients here in Adams County.What I want my patients to know about me:My wife and I are from Philadelphia and moved to Gettysburg two years ago. We love the area and the people, and hope to stay and raise our children here. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I'm not seeing patients, I'm typically at home with my wife and our two (soon to be three!) young sons. They keep us busy. We love to be active and -- whenever possible -- be outside. I've also been planting trees all over our property for the past couple of years -- I think it'll be fun to watch the trees to grow up along with our sons, and it's another good excuse to be outdoors.
