Christopher Hugge

Overview

Dr. Christopher Hugge sees patients for conditions related to: adrenal gland and bone cancers; bleeding; cancerous and non-cancerous blood disorders; bone marrow harvest; and platelet disorders. He specializes in treating pediatric patients with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and Wilms' tumor, and also cares for those with sickle cell anemia, liver cancer and spinal cord tumors. Dr. Hugge provides cancer risk assessment and counseling, and works with young patients to provide cancer pain management. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology and Oncology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is the director of the division's Pheresis Program and administrative director of the Hemostasis Program. Dr. Hugge is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and the Children's Oncology Group. He is an avid jogger.

His clinical expertise encompasses Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML), Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, Sickle Cell Disease, and Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP).
