After his M.D. he did his Ph.D. in Sports Medicine and his residency in Neurology in Germany and Switzerland. Claus came to the Brigham in 2009 as a fellow in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy and stayed on at BWH until 2014. Then he went back to Germany to build a sports medicine program at Paderborn University, but has been a person of interest at BWH and a lecturer part time at Harvard.
