Now being part of Ballad Health Medical Associates, he provides quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages. A Texas native, Dr. Schmalzried decided to move to the Appalachian Highlands to be closer to his parents when they retired. In his spare time, Dr. Schmalzried loves to eat local foods, catch races at Bristol Motor Speedway and go line dancing.
