Overview

Dr. Craig R. Dufresne is a plastic surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and Inova Fairfax Hospital, as well as a clinical professor of plastic surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center, a clinical associate professor of plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins University and director of the craniofacial program at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. He has served as the section chief of the division of plastic surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital; assistant professor of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University; director of the facial rehabilitation center at the Children’s Hospital in Baltimore and Johns Hopkins Hospital; director of the ear deformity clinic for the Johns Hopkins Hospital; chief of plastic surgery service at Loch Raven VA Medical Center; and attending consultant at the University of Maryland and Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Services. Dr. Dufresne is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International Craniomaxillofacial Society. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Cleft Lip and Palate Society, the John Staige Davis Society and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Dufresne has been repeatedly named one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly, as well as a Top Doctor in the Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Washington-Baltimore areas. Dr. Kofi Derek Owusu Boahene is a professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Division of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and the director for the facial plastics fellowship training program. As the recipient of the prestigious Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award, Dr. Boahene was awarded additional craniofacial surgery training in Adelaide, Australia. He also received the Jack R. Anderson Prize for Scholastic Excellence for attaining the highest score nationally on the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery certification exam. Dr. Boahene serves as on the Board of Governors or the American Academy Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
