Dr. Kitner has presented or published dozens of scientific studies on subjects such as abdominal hernias, colorectal tumors and thrombosis. He is the author of three books — one about geriatrics and two on internal medicine — and has contributed chapters to several other books on subjects such as depression, geriatrics and gerontology, and preventing AIDS. Outside of work, Dr. Kitner enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, jogging, playing tennis, reading and going to the beach. He is fluent in both English and Portuguese.
