I’ve had a desire to help people since I was young. Throughout my childhood, my primary provider was a physician assistant. The relationship that I had with her sparked my interest in medicine. I am so happy that my career choice was to become a physician assistant. My specialty is urology, which I was introduced to by a family friend who was working in the field. Immediately after I completed my PA degree, she helped me learn how to be a great urology PA. I enjoy urology because I get to work with a variety of patients. I also enjoy the surgical aspect and hospital care. The most important part of my job is the discussions that I have with my patients. We talk about treatment of their acute or chronic problems, preventative care and ways to maintain good health. Patients are the most important part of my job. Ensuring their happiness and good health is a key part of being a successful provider.
