Overview
As a craniofacial skull base surgeon, I care for patients with cleft lip and palate, craniofacial deformities, as well as patients with skull-based tumors. Often our work is collaborative with other disciplines to include neurosurgery and oral maxillofacial surgery. My academic appointment at the University of Minnesota allows me to enjoy my additional passion for teaching and mentoring our residents and medical students. I routinely travel on humanitarian missions to the Far East and Central and South America to perform reconstructive procedures. Time away from medicine is spent with my family. I recently retired from the Minnesota National Guard, where I was able to care for the brave men and women who protect and serve our nation. My passion for service now extends to board positions on the Red Cross, Military STEM StarBase of Minnesota, KMOJ Radio, and the Minnesota Military Family Foundation.
