Overview
I am honored to treat patients at Park Nicollet and Olivia Hospital & Clinic, where I specialize in elective and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, as well as diabetic limb salvage and wound management. My areas of interest include the conservative and surgical management of structural problems, joint pain and arthritis, trauma and sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle. When not at work, I enjoy fishing, hiking, hobby farming and spending time with my family. I have an interest in aviation history, hold an Airline Transport Pilot license and enjoy being involved with a local air museum as a pilot flying and displaying vintage World War II aircraft.

My goal as a foot and ankle surgeon is to improve the health and lives of my patients by resolving their pain, restoring normal ambulation, preventing amputation, and maximizing recovery after an injury. I am particularly interested in finding the best methods to treat complex foot and ankle fractures, deformities, infections, wounds, and arthritic conditions. I also enjoy teaching these methods to podiatric medical students, foot and ankle surgery residents, and practicing surgeons. Professional leadership activities at HealthPartners allow me to focus on important aspects of health care, like patient safety in the operating room and patient experience in the clinic. I also enjoy teaching at a number of medical conferences around the country each year and assist with the management of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, which is the flagship journal of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
