I am an interventional cardiologist who specializes in treating patients with coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, and those recovering from heart attacks or complex cardiovascular procedures. I perform stenting procedures in both the heart and legs, and have advanced training in complex coronary interventions. My work spans the cardiac catheterization lab, cardiac intensive care unit, and both clinic and outreach settings. I am passionate about helping patients reduce their risk of future heart problems through individualized, evidence-based care and long-term prevention strategies. I chose cardiology because it combines life-saving procedures with meaningful patient relationships. I strive to communicate clearly, involve patients in their care, and guide them through decisions with compassion and expertise. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our four wonderful boys—who keep life full of energy and joy.

She has served as the Training Director for four AHA Strategic Focused Research Networks. She has mentored over 60 individuals and the recipient of 2 mentoring awards. Additionally, she was the recipient of the Nanette Wegner Award for Women’s Health Medical Leadership by the Women Heart Organization and the Donna Vogel Women’s Health Champion Award by Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Michos completed medical school at Northwestern University, Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a Masters of Health Science degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
