Dr. Dung Pham

Dr. Pham graduated magna cum laude from The University of Texas in Arlington and received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UT Health) Medical School, where he also completed his residency. He continued his training in pediatric urology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Pham is a member of many regional and national societies, including the American Urological Society and The Society of Pediatric Urology. He currently serves as Chief of Pediatric Urology at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital. Dr. Pham treats all pediatric urologic conditions, including congenital abnormalities and acquired urological conditions and diseases. Dr. Pham uses minimally invasive laparoscopic and single port surgical techniques, techniques that result in smaller incisions, less scarring, shorter hospital stay and quicker return to normal activities, all important benefits for growing children. Dr. Pham recognizes that his patients and their parents may be anxious, so he stresses compassionate listening in his practice. He believes that many diagnoses can be made simply through taking the time to listen, which can eliminate the need for unnecessary and potentially invasive tests. Dr. Pham maintains a sense of calmness and makes sure he speaks to his patients in terms they understand. He also reassures the parents, ensuring they know that he will be with them every step of the way. Because Dr. Pham treats his patients as if they were family, he believes in doing everything possible for them to ensure they are taken care of and are able to get back to the joys of everyday life. Dr. Pham enjoys spending his free time continuing his medical education. He is also active in church activities and participates in missionary work, training doctors in other countries how to care for their youngest citizens.
