"I think I always wanted to do something helping people. At first I wanted to be a nurse like my aunt and godmother. But then thought about medical law, biomedical engineering, or research. When I realized that these were not really what I envisioned due to lack of frequent hands on with patients, I chose a nursing path. Since then I haven't looked back. Helping, teaching, listening, and caring for patients/people on a daily basis is what keeps me in this game. From my first time working as a CNA, I knew that caring for people would make me happy. After making the decision to pursue advance practice nursing, I haven't looked back. Nursing of any sort lets you work in so many areas of healthcare. Since becoming a nurse practitioner I have worked in wound management, home healthcare, plastic surgery, bariatric/general surgery, urgent care, and endocrinology. I love what I do!What I want my patients to know about me:When I meet with a patient, I take the time to listen to what they need, about their concerns, and how we can work together to get the best outcome for them. If I run over a few minutes with one patient making sure they are comfortable with their plan of care, I want patients to know I will do the same for them.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:My time outside of work is full of little girl laughter and craziness. I love to spend time with my husband and my 2 young daughters. We enjoy our two large dogs and two furry felines. My husband happens to be the only male in the household, with 2 legs and 4 legs included. My daughters are busy with dance classes, swimming classes, and cheerleading. When we get time, we love spending time with family and going on """"adventures.".

His research interests include acute and chronic pancreatitis, autoimmune pancreatitis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and novel methods to evaluate and treat abdominal pain. Dr. Singh is a member of the board of directors of the National Pancreas Foundation, chair of the Pancreatic Disorders Section of the American Gastroenterological Association, a councilor for the International Association of Pancreatology and a member of the inaugural medical advisory board for the Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome Foundation. She has recently shown that endoscopic ultrasound can be used to detect asymptomatic precancerous lesions in patients with a family history of pancreatic cancer.
