Ellen O’Brien, MD, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with a major in Biology. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University and completed her residency in the Primary Care Track at Children’s National in 2011. While at Children’s, Dr. O’Brien was awarded the annual Doctor Maynard L. Cohen Memorial Award for clinical excellence. She has worked as a primary care provider at CNPA since graduating. Dr. O’Brien enjoys caring for children of all ages. She is particularly devoted to establishing excellent relationships with her patients and families, collaborating with specialists and fiercely advocating for her patients within the medical system. Dr. O’Brien lives in McLean, VA, with her husband and two children. While not at work, she enjoys jogging, gardening and cheering on her kids on the sports field.
