Dr. Emily Forbes

Emily Forbes is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She has cared for patients in Central Florida since 2011 and has expertise in: General pediatrics Neonatal withdrawal Failure to thrive Asthma management Neonatal intensive care Breastfeeding counseling Emily strives to provide patient-centered care and include their families in the decision-making process. She is passionate about helping children to grow up as healthy as possible.­­ Emily’s Training Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. She has completed more than 500 hours of clinical rotations in pediatric primary care, as well as a clinical rotation in pediatric surgery. About Emily She is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner-primary care (CPNP-PC) and a registered nurse certified in neonatal intensive care (RNC). Emily is certified in basic life support and neonatal resuscitation. She is also certified as a breastfeeding counselor and an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation specialist. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crafting and attending church, where she volunteers in the nursery.
