Dr. Francisco P. Cruz

Dr. Francisco Paez-Cruz is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric hospital medicine physician with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He provides inpatient medical care to young patients and collaborates with specialists to develop treatment plans. Dr. Paez-Cruz is skilled in managing complex medical conditions, and his expertise includes: Neonatal care Pediatric pneumonia Pediatric COVID Sickle cell disease Asthma Gastrointestinal disorders Lumbar punctures Dr. Paez-Cruz believes in caring for his patients and their families with a deep sense of empathy so that he can build an effective therapeutic relationship that results in the best possible outcome. Dr. Paez-Cruz’s Training Dr. Paez-Cruz received his medical training at Universidad de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, and completed a pediatric residency at Orlando Health. About Dr. Paez-Cruz Dr. Paez-Cruz is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, and his professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association. He has taught third-year medical students and family medicine residents on pediatric inpatient rotations, led a youth ministry and volunteered on medical mission trips on the Texas-Mexico border and in Monterrey. Outside of work, Dr. Paez-Cruz enjoys spending time with family and friends, long-distance running, hiking, mountain climbing, fiction writing, reading and traveling. He also is active in his church and is fluent in English and Spanish.

His clinical expertise encompasses Infantile Pyloric Stenosis, Genetic Epilepsy with Febrile Seizures Plus (GEFS+), Polydactyly, and Hypoplasia of the Tibia with Polydactyly.
