Originally from McCreary County, Fred Hamlin, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC brings more than two decades of professional experience to the health care group.Hamlin graduated from Morehead State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He cared for patients from the bedside and in the sky; Hamlin was a flight nurse with the Air Evac Lifeteam for four years. Hamlin then went back to school to pursue his Master of Science in Nursing at Indiana State University to enhance his education and training. Hamlin has continued his work in his home state of Kentucky and has kept his childhood dream alive, focusing on caring for his patients’ cardiovascular health.“I want my patients to be involved in their care and take ownership of their care so that we can work together on enhancing their quality of life,” said Hamlin. “I like to prevent as many problems as possible, from heart disease to organ damage from high blood pressure, cholesterol, and kidney disease.
