He specializes in airway interventions including ablative techniques (including laser, APC, cautery, cryotherapy and photodynamic therapy) and stents, diagnostic and navigational bronchoscopy including robotic bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, bronchoscopic lung volume reduction, endobronchial ultrasound, indwelling pleural catheter placement and thoracoscopy for pleural biopsies and pleurodesis. He is also an integral part of the complex airway diseases program at Northwell Health. His research interests include endobronchial ultrasound, robotic bronchoscopy, management of complex airway diseases and diagnosis and management of pleural diseases. He has authored several articles on a variety of topics in interventional pulmonology. He has been awarded the Distinguished CHEST Educator award several times by the American College of Chest Physicians. His work has been presented at national meetings and published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Agrawal is a member of the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and is actively involved in peer education through the same.
