Injection therapies for arthritis, such as cortisone shots and viscosupplements, are tools I use regularly to reduce pain and inflammation for patients with arthritis, bursitis and tendinitis. I typically do not provide long-term care for chronic low back pain, chronic pain syndromes or fibromyalgia. These are conditions which may be better served by other specialties, including physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as pain clinics.
