Dr. Rieser is American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. He grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated as valedictorian while earning his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He went on to obtain his Medical Doctorate from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He went to complete his Preliminary Surgery Internship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then chose to take the research track during his Orthopedic Residency training at the Level I Trauma Center in Dayton Ohio with Wright State University. He then completed his subspecialty training during his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic, which included the Direct Anterior Approach to Total Hip Replacement.
