Houstonian Phillip David Applegate, Jr., DPM, graduated with his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station and went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale. There, he co-authored a study on the endoscopic management of intermetatarsal neuromas, which was published in the “Open Journal of Orthopedics.” He was also active nationally with the American Podiatric Medical Students’ Association, where he served as national president. Dr. David Applegate went on to complete a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency during which he trained for a year in Ohio at the Cleveland Clinic and received two years of extensive surgical training in foot and ankle surgery at the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. After graduating from his residency program, Dr. Applegate moved back to the Greater Houston area, where he founded Texas Foot and Ankle Specialists in 2016. He is proud to provide quality foot and ankle care in the heart of Katy to patients living in Barker, Cypress, Fulshear, Houston, Katy and Richmond. His is an Associate with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS).
