I have a special interest and training in the use of the least invasive surgical methods. These surgical methods are very helpful for reducing pain associated with surgery and speeding up recovery. My specialties include: • Weight loss and metabolic surgery • The management of benign foregut disorders such as achalasia, diverticula, perforations, strictures, leaks, ulcers and bleeds • The treatment of tumors of the esophagus, stomach and small bowel • Procedures to place tubes for feeding or suction into the gut • The treatment of hiatal hernias and heartburn • Certain operations on the spleen, adrenals and pancreas • The treatment of complex hernias with techniques that improve function and reduce recurrence • Laparoscopic surgery for bowel obstructions • Removal of cancerous lymph nodes • Removal of stones that may have passed beyond the gallbladder into the ducts • Treatment of certain vascular conditions such as aneurysms of the splenic artery and rarer conditions such as MALS.
