Dr. Hamadi Murphy is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He is part of the Orlando Health Spine Center, which is a multidisciplinary collaboration between Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Murphy’s Training Dr. Murphy received a bachelor’s degree in brain behavior and cognitive science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a Master of Science (MS) in physiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he also earned his medical degree. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. Dr. Murphy completed his fellowship training in adult degenerative spine surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles. About Dr. Murphy Dr. Murphy’s research on topics such as neck and spine injuries has appeared in medical publications and he has contributed to multiple book chapters. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, golf and basketball, all of which help him connect with patients on a personal level.
