Dr. Thompson specializes in interventional cardiology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He joined the hospital staff in 2020. He was previously a pediatric cardiologist and medical director for Child Cardiology Associates in Fairfax, Virginia, and chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology of the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency, serving as chief resident, at Children’s National Medical Center.
