Dr. J Bruce Moseley is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery; and the Program Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. A specialist in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Shoulder and Knee Surgery, Dr. Moseley came to BCM from The Methodist Hospital, where he was an orthopedic surgeon for more than 11 years.Dr. Moseley’s clinical interests include all musculoskeletal injuries in athletes, especially in the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle. He specializes in cartilage restoration surgery and joint preservation of the knee along with primary and revision ACL reconstruction and meniscus surgery/meniscus repair. His other specialities cover surgery of the shoulder including instability surgery, rotator cuff repair, and total shoulder replacement; and Tommy John surgery of the elbow in which a torn UCL ligament is repaired with a tendon graft, typically using a tendon from another part of the patient’s body.Among his numerous accolades, Dr. Mosley has been elected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Doctors in America every year since 1996 and has been on the Texas Super Doctors list since 2004.Dr. Moseley received a B.A. from University of Texas at Austin and earned an MD from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed a clinical fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Inglewood, California and Sports Medicine and a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He also performed an internship in general surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
