Overview
My decision to become a physician assistant (PA) is the result of over thirty years of professional development. I have worked closely with physicians, PAs, athletic trainers, and physical therapists during this time. My medical experience and education began volunteering at a cancer hospital in middle school, advanced through undergraduate and graduate studies. Following graduation, I worked at two major universities, for the Department of Defense and two private orthopaedic practices. My sports medicine experience includes work with women's and men's athletic teams, active military personnel and older adults. I perform clinical examinations of new and follow-up patients. I assess the need for, and interpretation of, radiographs, MRIs, and CT scans. I execute joint, bursa injections/ aspirations under ultrasound guidance. I have committed my life to patient care. Being a PA allows me to provide the continuity of care needed to make a real, lasting impact on the people I serve.

I am honored to care for our patients with brain and spinal cord tumors, as well as supporting their loved ones as we navigate this challenging diagnosis together. I strive to help patients find their balance between aggressive, cutting-edge brain cancer treatment and protecting their quality of life. It's important to me to care for the whole person with attention to fitness, nutrition, and mental health. I live in Chapel Hill with my husband and two children.
