Dr. Jennifer Heithaus specializes in developmental pediatrics, treating conditions that include: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD); developmental delay; developmental disorders in children with medical complexity; genetic syndromes in autism spectrum disorders; and developmental issues in children with Down syndrome. Dr. Heithaus provides neurodevelopmental evaluations and medical management of behavioral and developmental conditions. She also offers early intervention programming and social skills training. Her research interests include: social skills knowledge; bullying; children undergoing painful medical procedures; and novel genetic mutations associated with autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Heithaus is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental Pediatrics, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. She serves as a reviewer for multiple conferences and medical journals. Her outside interests include Tang Soo Do, for which she holds a second-degree black belt.
