Dr. Vredeveld attended the University of Toledo Medical School followed by an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at the University of Michigan. She then joined the faculty at the University of Michigan as a Hospitalist and now divides her time between Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Adult Hospital Medicine, and teaching in the medical school. Her academic interests include medical student and resident education focusing on areas of doctoring, clinical reasoning and quality improvement/patient safety. She currently runs the quality and safety curriculum in the medical school and has been involved in the development and ongoing improvements to the pediatric residency quality curriculum as well. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
