Overview

John Leung, MD, AGAF, FACAAI is one of the few US dual board-certified physicians in Allergy/Immunology and Gastroenterology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa, followed by fellowships in Gastroenterology at Tufts Medical Center and Allergy/Immunology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Leung started his career in academia in 2007 conducting NIH-funded and industry-sponsored bench-to-bedside research, and he has successfully conducted over 50 clinical trials since. In 2013, he established and directed the first Food Allergy Center at Tufts Medicine. Dr. Leung currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Tufts University.

In 2015, Dr. Leung founded Boston Specialists, an interdisciplinary practice that embraces an integrative approach to healthcare. This center brings together various specialists, registered dietitians, and a dedicated pharmacist, working collaboratively to meet the needs of their patients. The clinic also boasts a robust research initiative, which actively enrolls patients from across New England in clinical trials.
