Justin McCoy, DO, is originally from Washington state. He earned a bachelor's degree in Provo, Utah followed by his medical degree from Midwestern University in Arizona. He completed his residency in Scottsdale, Arizona, at Osborn Medical Center. During this time, he worked with the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics baseball teams during Spring Training. He then moved to Boise, Idaho to complete further training in Sports Medicine at Boise State University where he worked with all the Division I athletes and was the team physician for the women's Soccer team.Dr. McCoy’s objective is to build relationships of trust with his patients and with the community by providing excellent, thoughtful and compassionate care. He takes his patients’ goals into account when developing treatment plans with them that will ultimately help them reach their health and athletic goals. He is also ideally suited to provide comprehensive medical care for the non-athlete with muscle, tendon, bone or joint problems.Dr. McCoy is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the Performing Arts Medical Association and he also serves on the Western Colorado Concussion Alliance. Dr. McCoy enjoys helping patients, whether they are an elite athlete or performing artist, a “weekend warrior” or simply someone who hurts. He is passionate about using his skills and expertise to get all levels of patients back to a functional and fulfilling lifestyle as quickly and safely as possible.When Dr. McCoy is not at work, he enjoys all sports, but football is his favorite. He also enjoys camping, playing the guitar and other musical instruments, as well as spending time with his family and friends.
