Dr. Kanwarpaul S. Grewal, D.O., is the founder and lead orthopedic spine surgeon at Grewal Orthopedic

& Spine Care, where he sees patients across four Long Island and Queens locations.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency before

pursuing two concurrent spine fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco from 2013 to

2014 — the Adult Spine and Deformity Surgery fellowship and the AO North America Fellowship in

Spine Surgery. He has been Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics since

2018 (National Rank 16).

Dr. Grewal holds three academic appointments: Core Faculty at Northwell Plainview Hospital,

Academic Appointment at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Academic Appointment at Touro

College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was named Northwell Teacher of the Year in 2020. He has

authored five-plus peer-reviewed publications indexed in PubMed and holds an issued patent.

His clinical practice focuses on adult spinal deformity, complex spine reconstruction, minimally invasive

spine surgery, and second-opinion consultations. Languages: Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and English.
