Overview
Growing up in an underserved area in Florida and personally experiencing the health disparities in my community is what inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. I am passionate about achieving health equity and improving health outcomes of the underserved, particularly in the pediatric population. I have a special interest and expertise in pediatric nutrition and obesity. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoy serving patients of all backgrounds. I love working with children because I can have fun and be myself with my patients. I also appreciate the opportunity to establish long term relationships with families. I provide care to children and adolescents who have gained weight too quickly and are at risk for health problems related to weight. My approach with patients is to empower families to achieve a healthier lifestyle and work collaboratively to reach their goals. Outside of work, I enjoy running and spending time with my husband and son exploring the great outdoors!.
