Before beginning her medical career, Katie Whitmire, NP-C, served as a soldier in the United States Army. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University. Currently, Katie is studying to achieve a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Throughout her studies, Katie worked in various healthcare positions, including as a nurse on a critical care floor, a diabetes health educator, an endocrinology nurse practitioner, and a pediatric endocrinology nurse practitioner. Katie is dedicated to helping people. She loves working with patients who are truly motivated to improve their health but need guidance.
