Overview
As a pediatrician, I love supporting families as their children grow on the path to good health, especially if they are living with a chronic condition such as asthma, diabetes, or autism. It is important to listen deeply in order to understand what it is that families really need. I speak Spanish and find joy in supporting families of all backgrounds and abilities. Before joining Duke Primary Care, I spent many years teaching residents. I also worked as a consultant for young adults transitioning out of the pediatric health care system. When not in the office, you might find me gardening, exploring a new hiking trail with my family, or singing in the church choir.

Some of the conditions that we see include congenital malformations of the kidney and the bladder, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis (inflammation of the kidney filters), and children who are on dialysis or who received kidney transplantation because of kidney failure.
