Kristin Caldera, DO, is a UW Health physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor and an associate professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She provides long-term rehabilitation care for people with neurological injuries and developmental disorders.Dr. Caldera regularly works with adults who’ve experienced spinal cord and brain injuries and those who’ve had a stroke. She also works with patients who have multiple sclerosis (MS) and developmental disorders such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida. Her clinical interest is in neurologic rehabilitation for patients with amputations.Dr. Caldera helps patients regain their function and independence through therapy, procedures and medication. She uses a patient-centered approach to care, listening to her patients’ concerns and helping them develop functional goals.
