Dr. Schwartz received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She then obtained her medical degree from Weill-Cornell Medical College and completed her internal medicine residency at the affiliated Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian Hospital. Driven by an interest in the nutritional aspects of gastrointestinal disease, she completed a clinical nutrition fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and is one of a handful of physicians certified in clinical nutrition. Dr. Schwartz then completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.
Dr. Schwartz is a member of American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), as well as the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
