Together, they tailor a treatment plan with targeted therapies and apply the newest research to each unique situation. She is widely published and presents at national meetings on breast cancer-related topics. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. After earning her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY, Dr. Gendler completed a general surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, NY, and pursued a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Columbia University Medical Center, NY. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors in her field, most recently as a Distinguished Doctor by the American Cancer Society.
