Philosophy of care | I will listen carefully to you and your family so I can provide knowledgeable care to the young patient. I avoid the paternalistic approach, where a doctor dictates treatment. Instead, I use a holistic approach, acknowledging your preferences or special needs. My philosophy of care isn’t about just what I say, I’m listening to understand. I also aim to educate you and your family. | Why I entered medicine | I entered medicine for the reward of taking care of people and because I’m curious about the body and medicine. I like working with people, especially kids. Kids are resilient, they generally get better. I’ve found facilitating their recovery rewarding. I also enjoy helping educate the next generation of physicians with a well-rounded approach to medicine. | Community involvement | I volunteer with youth sports and a local triathlon team, serving as a coach and on the medical staff during their events. | Personal interests | My family and I are diehard Eagles fans. I also enjoy family fun and outdoor recreation, especially during winter. My winter activities include skiing, snowboarding and hiking, all nice ways to stay outside and be healthy.
