"Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, but raised in the Tri-Cities, Lisa Carter, MD, is grateful to serve the community she calls home. Her lifelong fascination with viruses and bacteria naturally led her to specialize in infectious disease. ""I've always loved science,"" she says.
