"Mark A. Rich, MD, FAAP, FACS, is a pediatric urologist with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. As a recognized surgical innovator in pediatric urology, he is recognized for describing the concept of “hinging” the urethral plate in hypospadias repair. Dr. Rich earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. He completed an adult and pediatric residency in urology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. He completed a pediatric urology subspecialty fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Prior to practicing in Orlando, Dr. Rich was a practicing pediatric urologist at the LIJ/Schneider Children's Hospital in New York. He developed a pediatric urology research laboratory, investigating the genetic and molecular biology of kidney development and tumors in children. Dr. Rich's expertise include complex genitourinary reconstruction, hypospadias, spina bifida, pediatric stone disease, disorders of sexual differentiation, cloacal abnormalities and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Rich has received numerous honors and recognitions, including Orlando Health's ""Exemplary Physician Colleague"". He has been named one of the ""Best Doctors in America"" and one of the ""Best Doctors in Orlando"".".
