Dr. Kolbe grew up in metro Detroit (Troy), received his bachelor's degree in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2007. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University in 2011 and returned to Ann Arbor for his internal medicine residency training, graduating in 2014. In addition to hospital medicine and patient care, Dr. Kolbe has an interest for medical education. Outside of the hospital he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, going to Detroit and Michigan sporting events, playing soccer, and traveling.
