Dr. Michael Hwang

Dr. Michael Hwang is a board-certified and fellowship-trained diagnostic radiologist with Orlando Health Cancer Institute. Specializing in breast imaging, Dr. Hwang is able to use a variety of techniques to detect cancer and other conditions affecting the breasts. He is skilled in performing: Multi-modality breast biopsies and aspirations Multi-modality preoperative localization Mammograms with digital breast tomosynthesis Ultrasound Magnetic resonance imaging Computed tomography His goals are early detection, specific diagnosis and a relaxed, effortless patient experience when procedures become necessary. Dr. Hwang’s Training Dr. Hwang earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and his doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing. He completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Nova Southeastern University in Miami and was co-chief resident. He then completed a breast imaging fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
