Dr. Michael M. Awad is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecological surgeon. Dr. Awad specializes in treating a wide range of hormone disorders, endometriosis, post-menopause symptoms, infertility and obstetrics at his state-of-the-art office in Chicago, IL. Praised by patients for his knowledge of advanced surgical and medical treatments available, Dr. Awad brings over 10 years of experience caring for each individual person. A native of Chicago himself, Dr. Awad started his career as a Harvard University Medical School research associate in the tumor biology lab. He received his medical training at Midwestern University, earning his doctorate, and then began in residency training at Loyola Medical Center.
Dr. Awad continues in the participation of the education of residents, medical students as well as physician assistant students. Additionally, Dr Awad is a member of numerous medical organizations, and a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As an award-winning researcher, Dr. Awad has published articles in Cancer Research and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Finally, Dr. Awad is known for his exceptional bedside manners. These, he learned this from his father, also an OB/GYN for over the past 40 years. Dr. Awad, Sr recently retired from the clinic he founded in 1984, with his son working hard every day to provide the highest quality of care for generations to come.
