He then completed a fellowship in interventional pain management in Boston at Harvard Medical School-Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was named Outstanding Pain Fellow of the Year. Dr. Hasoon, who has been in practice since 2015, is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management. His special clinical interests are minimally invasive therapies for spinal stenosis, compression fractures, peripheral nerve stimulation and spinal cord stimulation. His practice philosophy centers on a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to pain management that reduces his patients’ level of pain while improving their quality of life. Patients describe him as a professional and caring physician who listens, doesn’t rush them through appointments and explains conditions and answers questions in understandable terms. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hasoon has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals on topics, including migraine headaches, pelvic pain, low back pain, peripheral nerve stimulation and spinal cord stimulation therapy. He is director of the pain fellowship program at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
