Dr. Michele C. Dehnert
Overview
Dr. Michele Dehnert is Director of the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Staten Island University Hospital - Northwell and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is board certified in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Dehnert evaluates and provides treatment for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental disabilities and behavioral difficulties including delayed development, learning problems, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD. She is part of a team of providers that includes two nurse practitioners, and a clinical psychologist. The team runs a large psychotropic medication practice, with expertise in optimizing medication management in children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Dr. Dehnert feels privileged and honored to be part of a team of providers who will assist a child in achieving their full potential.
