Adam's research focuses on using artificial intelligence systems, including machine learning algorithms, to optimize cancer treatments. He has authored more than 100 publications. Adam earned his medical degree at Omdurman Islamic University in Sudan. He completed a residency in general surgery at Duke University Medical Center, where he also completed a research fellowship in advanced statistical modeling. He completed a fellowship in complex surgical oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Adam is a member of several professional societies and the recipient of many academic honors at Duke University and UCSF.
