Overview
Dr. Bosarge focuses on general surgery and critical care medicine. He has participated in multiple areas of research related to surgery, trauma and critical care medicine with authoring over 70 publications and several book chapters. Dr. Bosarge is a veteran of the U.S. Army achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel, and served in three combat tours in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Dr. Bosarge received his medical degree in May 2000 from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama, and completed his general surgery residency at the University of South Alabama in 2005. He subsequently completed a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of California, San Diego in 2009. He also received a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 2020.
