Rebecca L. “Becky” Deanes, AGACNP-BC cares for patients with acute colon and rectal conditions, to include colorectal cancer in both the hospital and clinic settings. Becky earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Sentara College of Health Science, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University and an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner post master’s certification from Walden University. Becky is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As a breast cancer survivor herself, Becky understands the challenges patients face and personalizes care for each patient’s individual needs. Her unique perspective gives Becky the opportunity to educate her patients on their conditions and treatments in a relatable way to help them navigate their journeys with confidence. Becky grew up in Suffolk and loves the Hampton Roads area for its scenic diversity. She and her husband have four children and three golden retrievers. Living just across the street from her childhood home, Becky loves being close to family and coaching her daughters’ cheerleading squads.
