Dr. Renae Shibata is a board-certified gynecologic surgeon with the Orlando Health Women's Institute Center for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery for conditions including: Fibroids Endometriosis Adenomyosis Abnormal uterine bleeding Pelvic pain Uterine anomalies Isthmocele repair Polyps Ovarian cysts Adnexal masses Interstitial ectopic or cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy Dr. Shibata offers patients a variety of treatment options for complex gynecologic conditions, including advanced laparoscopy, robotic-assisted surgery, incisionless transcervical fibroid radiofrequency ablation and office and operative hysteroscopy. Dr. Shibata’s Training She received her bachelor's degree in physiology and neuroscience from the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Shibata earned her medical degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Hofstra University Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell Health and a minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship at the Northwell Health Northshore University Hospital, both in Manhasset, New York. About Dr. Shibata Dr. Shibata is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her professional memberships include the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Society of Laparascopic and Robotic Surgeons. She has coauthored published work on gynecologic surgery, recurrent pregnancy loss and surgical imaging. Outside of work, Dr. Shibata enjoys spending time with family, traveling, running and hiking.
